St Katharine's Church in Knockholt is part of a United Benefice with St Margaret's Church, Halstead. We are two Church of England (Anglican) parishes in the Sevenoaks Deanery of the Diocese of Rochester, within the Canterbury Province. St Katharine's and St Margaret's came together in 1983 as a United Benefice under one parish priest. Our pattern of services reflects the fact that we are two parishes working closely together.
Our regular Sunday service is at 9am. The length and style of this service varies throughout the month, with first Sunday (All-Age) and third Sunday (Early Birds) being shorter services with more interactivity, suitable for children to remain in the service throughout. We have a Children's Club running alongside the main service on second and fourth Sundays (Communion services). On the third Sunday, we also have a popular BCP Holy Communion Service at 8am.We have two choirs, a Youth Choir and an Adult Choir, led by our talented organist, David Walker. There are often music concerts and organ recitals. For more information on our choirs and music, visit our website.
We also have strong children and youth outreach within our parishes, as well as many year-round events for parishioners and people of all ages from surrounding villages. Our many groups and fellowships include the Knockholt Ladies' Fellowship, the St Katharine's Flower Team and a Churchyard Working Party.
A full history of St Katharine's along with sermons and articles is available on our website. We look forward to welcoming you to our parish.
